About us

Working together at an Italian restaurant in Baltimore in 1993, they discovered they shared the same dream to create a restaurant specializing in authentic Italian cuisine featuring unique family recipes and traditional ingredients from Italy.

Toscano is the creation of chefs Gianni Betti and Linda Harrell. Working together at an Italian restaurant in Baltimore in 1993, they discovered they shared the same dream to create a restaurant specializing in authentic Italian cuisine features unique family recipes and traditional ingredients from Italy.

Twenty-five years later, they opened Cibo e Beve in Sandy Springs with Gonzalo de Aristegui. On September 1st, 2021 they opened the doors to their second restaurant in Atlantic Station. Toscano Ristorante Italiano will feature one-of-a-kind Tuscan recipes and select family favorites, along with specialty coffees, desserts, panini sandwiches, pizza, craft cocktails, and an award-winning wine list.

GIANNI BETTI

GIANNI BETTI was born and raised in Regello, Italy, in the heart of Tuscany. After graduating from the Instituto Alberghiero Aurelio Saffi in Florence, he and his brothers opened their first restaurant Fattoria degli Usignoli in the countryside of Florence. After two successful years, Gianni came to the U.S. to work as a chef for Germano's Trattoria Petrucci in Baltimore, Maryland, where he met Linda, and Cibo e Beve became an idea. Then, Gianni returned to Italy to open Antica Posta Restaurant and Bed & Breakfast in the heart of the Chianti region, a food connoisseur's destination in the Tuscan restaurant guidebooks. In 2008 he came back to the U.S. to work as an executive chef with Posta Tuscan in Raleigh, North Carolina. He eventually joined his brothers in Atlanta as an executive chef and general manager for Antica Posta in Buckhead. In 2018 Gianni and Linda opened the doors to Cibo e Beve, and now, Toscano in 2021.

As an award winning chef, Gianni Betti has appeared on numerous television shows and has been featured in multiple newspaper and magazine articles. His love of food and people make him a welcoming presence.

LINDA HARRELL

CHEF LINDA HARRELL brings more than 30 years of excitement to her restaurants creating celebratory Italian cuisine. Linda received her culinary foundation and formal European training working with acclaimed Chef Daniel Yves Abid, a protégé of Alain Ducasse, at Kingsmill Resorts in Williamsburg, Virginia. Chef Harrell has cooked at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City andwas featured on the National ABC-TV show "Eat & Greet." She was a contestant on Food Network shows "Kitchen Inferno"and "Beat Bobby Flay." She has been featured in publications such as the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Baltimore Sun, Baltimore magazine, Flavors and Atlanta magazine. She is a member of Les Dames D'Escoffier International and actively participates in demonstrations and benefits throughout Atlanta.

GONZALO DE ARISTEGUI

GONZALO DE ARISTEGUI began his career with Coke in 1990, and spanned over 20 years in 4 continents, with positions in Marketing, Customer Management and Franchise operations. He oversaw VITAMINWater Greater China, responsible for leading one of Coca-Cola’s largest global business opportunities. In 2018 he expanded into restaurant management to collaborate with chef Linda Harrell and Gianni Betti. Together they manage Cibo e Beve in Sandy Springs and Toscano at Atlantic Station in midtown Atlanta.

Gonzalo received an MBA from Columbia Business School (New York) and London Business School, studied at Northwestern University and is a graduate of Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) with a degree in business and marketing. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and also speaks French and German.
